Gewürztraminer is an aromatic grape that can range in color from pink to peach to yellow. The finest Gewürztraminer wines come from the Alsace region of France. These white wines are generally full bodied and heavily perfumed with spicy aromas of roses and lychee. The grape tends to early budbreak and can therefore be susceptible to frost damage. We'll see if it works in Eagle Valley. The vine will be trained next summer (2011).
